Well prepared for Commonwealth C'hips in Malta!

The Judo Academy have four fighters representing Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Judo Championships in Malta next weekend. Although it was decided at short notice, the fighters have pushed on from recent success at the NI Championships, British Schools Championships, Irish Inter varsity Championships, and experience of Home Nation and British Championships.

This is the next stage in development for Ewan, Quinn, Conall and Aodhan, three of whom have already seen action at the Pre cadet Commonwealth Championships in Birmingham in 2019.

John Murray is The Judo Academy team leader at the event, and along with a full team of Judo Academy coaches and volunteers, has helped prepare the fighters on their steady upward trajectory this last few years.

This is the latest event for the fighters and club that helps cement The Judo Academy as one of the most progressive and forward thinking teams in N. Ireland.

We wish the best of luck to everyone representing Northern Ireland in this latest venture!
