Competition dates are beginning to appear across the country and beyond and we have been getting some requests for children to enter competitions.
During lockdown in 2021, we posted a blog in reference to readiness for competition and expectations of players and parents at competitions in Ireland.
Today we are posting updated guidelines based on our coaches wealth of knowledge in competition and the physical and emotional stresses competition puts on players.
Please note, these are guidelines, and refer to the ethos and practice of judo at The Judo Academy in Ireland, and are not based on the opinion of any other coach or club.
Each player is an individual, will have individual needs, and have an individual and progressive development pathway, all at The Judo Academy.
