A great day for The Judo Academy and NI Pathway Squad at the biggest All Ireland Championships to date, in Dublin today.
Aodhan won three matches, two in golden score to secure a bronze medal. One small mistake lost him a place in the final and the possibility of a gold medal.
Conall won three matches to get to the final, losing out at the last hurdle to secure a silver medal.
Quinn also won three matches in his category to earn himself a gold medal and be crowned All Ireland Championships 2024.
Ewan won one match in a very competitive senior category, narrowly missing out on the bronze medal.
In the spirit and friendship of judo, John stepped in to look after a fighter from Sonkei Judo in Ballycastle. In his first major event, John guided him to a bronze medal. His parents were elated and his coaches so thankful.
Many thanks to Irish Judo for organising the event!
