A second outing at National Sports Centre of Wales!

This week it was the turn of the Pre Cadets and Cadets at the Welsh Open in Cardiff.
8 players from the NI Pathway squad were in attendance. Aodhan McGivern from The Judo Academy won 1 contest and narrowly lost 2 contests in a group of 23 players.
In his first international event at Cadet level, Aodhan was narrowly defeated in the repechage after being ahead during the second half of the fight.
A great experience considering he has two more years in the age category.
The team included players from Coleraine Judo Club, Triangle Judo Club, and Kyokan Judo Club in Coleraine.
A fantastic bronze meal from Sophia at Kyokan topped a great development weekend for the NI Pathway Squad.
Many thanks to NI Judo, SportNI, and travelling coaches and families that travelled to support the players at the event!
